What to expect during your appointment:

Initial treatments

Your first treatment lasts 55 minutes and includes:

• A comprehensive review of your health history and wellness goals

• A physical assessment

• An acupuncture treatment

Before your appointment, you will receive a secure online intake form to complete your health history. To book your initial appointment, please schedule a brief phone consultation first.

Acupuncture is the primary treatment modality used. Very thin needles are gently inserted into specific acupuncture points on the body and either left in place or lightly stimulated to activate a response within the muscle. Acupuncture points are chosen based on traditional Chinese medical theory, which involves diagnostic techniques such as a detailed health intake, physical assessment, palpation, and an examination of the pulse and tongue. These methods help identify imbalances within the body’s energetic pathways, or meridians.

You may feel a brief sensation upon needle insertion, followed by a mild dull ache, warmth, or tingling. Sensations vary from person to person and from treatment to treatment. I will check in with you throughout the session to ensure your comfort.

Once the needles are in place, you will have 20-30 minutes to rest quietly. Many people experience a deep sense of relaxation, tingling, or a gentle wave-like sensation, while others may feel little to nothing at all—each response is normal.

Follow up treatments

A personalized treatment plan will be discussed during your initial session to determine the recommended frequency of follow-up visits. Since acupuncture works best with consistency, most people benefit from weekly or bi-weekly treatments, though this varies based on individual needs.

Returning client treatments last 55 minutes and include a brief check-in followed by an acupuncture session.

I am in the process of relocating due to a fire at my previous office in January 2025. Check back for details.

Pricing & payment options

Initial appointments are $135, follow up appointments are $105. I also offer two package options for follow up appointments - 4 treatments for $390 and 8 treatments for $740. I accept cash, check, credit card, HSA card, or Venmo. I do not accept insurance at this time.
