About Cupping Therapy —

Cupping therapy is an ancient practice believed to have originated in China or Egypt. In recent years, it has gained popularity for its effectiveness in relieving pain and supporting overall wellness. This technique uses suction to create a gentle vacuum, which lifts the skin and increases space between layers of tissue, promoting improved blood flow and circulation.

At my clinic, I use pump cups—a modern alternative to traditional glass, fire, or silicone cups. These allow for precise control over the level of suction, ensuring a comfortable and customized experience for each patient.

Cupping may leave circular red or purplish marks that can last up to a week. These marks are not painful; rather, they provide insight into your body’s condition, helping to identify areas of tension and stagnation. With regular treatments, these marks often become lighter or disappear altogether as circulation improves and the body releases built-up tension.

Cupping therapy is included as part of acupuncture treatments to enhance circulation, relieve muscle tension, and support the body's natural healing process.
