January 31, 2025

Dear Friends,

I am beyond grateful for the outpouring of support and generosity from this community over the past few weeks. Your kindness — through messages, encouragement, and contributions — has meant more than I can express. Thanks to you, I am thrilled to share that I will be reopening in a new location on Monday, February 3rd!

New Office Details:

  • Address: 9015 Forest Hill Ave, Richmond, VA 23235

  • If entering from Forest Hill Ave, the door is under the awning on the right-hand side. (See photo below).

  • A temporary sign will be posted on the door while we wait for our permanent sign.

  • No need to text when you arrive — just come upstairs and have a seat in the waiting room.

Your support has made this possible, and I can’t wait to welcome you to this new space. Thank you for being part of this journey with me, I am so lucky to be surrounded by such an incredible community.

With deep gratitude,
Elizabeth

An Update Following the Fire

January 18, 2025

Yesterday afternoon, a fire devastated our office building at 5318 Patterson Avenue. Thankfully, no one was injured, which is the most important thing. However, the building itself has suffered extensive damage. We’re still waiting for updates and haven’t been allowed inside, but from initial reports and what I can see from the outside, it appears that very little—if anything—will be salvageable from the offices.

My heart aches for the other providers in the building who have likely lost so much. My thoughts are especially with the dentists, who will face unique and significant challenges in relocating their practices.

In the meantime, beginning Monday, January 20, I’ll be moving all appointments to Vital Qi at 6 South Robinson Street in the Fan. Thankfully, Vitality Float Spa has two private acupuncture rooms located in the back of Vital Qi that are temporarily available for use, and they’ve graciously offered to let me work from there for the next few weeks. Beyond that, I’m exploring options for a more permanent space.

Many of you have already reached out after hearing about the fire, and your kind words and support mean the world to me. While this has been a deeply personal loss, I can’t help but think of the devastating fires happening in California and how small this seems in comparison. There’s so much heartbreak in the world right now.

As an acupuncturist, I’m fortunate that my practice doesn’t require a lot of equipment, but the loss of supplies, furniture, my computer, and other essentials will still cost several thousand dollars to replace. Despite having three separate insurance policies for my business, I’ve learned that none of them cover fire or water damage specifically. While there’s a possibility of an insurance claim down the road, it’s uncertain—and far off.

If you’re able, I would be incredibly grateful for your support in getting back up and running. You can help by pre-purchasing a package or a gift card (either for yourself or someone else!) through my website.

Thank you for your continued support—past, present, and future. It’s a privilege to do this work and to care for this wonderful community.

With gratitude,
Elizabeth
